Movin’ Shakin’ and Unpackin’
That pretty much sums up everything that’s been going on with us the entire summer and now. We sold our house this summer, after a long drawn out ordeal/headache. We finally got to claim our new address in Daleville on September 14th. A date we never thought was going to get here. That explains part of the Movin’ part of this post.
The other part is as of Monday, I moved into my new position as creative director at Laker Media. I finally stepped away from the paper and downtown. Even though I’m not technically away from the paper since they still own the company, I am away too. That’s the other part of the Movin’.
The unpackin’ follows both of those, we’re unpacking boxes left and right at home trying to find everything. And for anyone who has ever moved, you know how frustrating it can be when you know you have something but just can’t find it. We have a massive mound of stuff in our garage at the moment that we’re planning on to sell at a yard sale, and boy it should be a good one.
The Shakin’ part well that’s not so simple. Zoe recently started a new daycare with our move, and has started taking music lessons. She loves it! They sing and dance and learn about different types of music and instruments. She comes home most nights and says to us “look, mommy and daddy…” and proceeds to shake her butt and say “I’m dancing!” It’s quite the sight.
I know everyone is going to ask to see photos of the house and I promise to put them up soon, we’ve just got to get things in a little better order first.
